Blondie went to her first Horse Show! That blue ribbon is a First Place! Wahoo!! We entered her in 5 classes, all "Green as Grass" (horses with little or no show experience). We got one First, two Second, one Fouth and one Sixth Place. The Sixth place was for an English class and Blondie is a Western horse. English is with the tiny little saddle, the jacket, high boots, hat, etc. Western is with a western saddle as in the picture. This was the first time Blondie had been in a show ring with other horses running around her and she acted as if this was her 100th show. She was calm and did everything she was asked to to. This is Amy Andresen, our trainer, riding Blondie. She's been a wonderful trainer - she's never used brute strength to train Blondie, always with gentleness and kindness. Amy can be found at the Barn at Cedar Hill in Cedar Hill Texas. She trains horses, people with horses and offers full care boarding. |

Our blog (a web log or sort of online diary) is maintained by chief stall mucker, poop picker-upper and all around slave to the animals,
Norma Epstein.
I write it all myself (no Pulitzer or accolades necessary) and I take all the pictures with a Minolta digital camera.
I take pictures and post to the blog whenever I find something interesting or have something interesting to say (and even sometimes when I don't).
