Poor Woody. Somehow he managed to slice off the top of his head including his forelock. Here the vet is stitching him upwhile he is enjoying the sedative. You can see his herd on the other side of the gate keeping a close watch on Dr. Hendricks.
You can see the big hole where the top of his head once was. Everything was stitched back in place and we think Woody will be fine and his looks will still be intact. No matter how hard you try, sometimes you can't protect them from themselves. Like Dr. Hendricks said, if you put a horse in a padded room, he will still find a way to hurt himself. |

Our blog (a web log or sort of
online diary) is maintained by chief stall mucker, poop
picker-upper and all around slave to the animals,
Norma Epstein. I write it all
myself (no Pulitzer or accolades necessary) and I take all the
pictures with a Minolta digital camera.
I take pictures and post to the blog whenever I find something
interesting or have something interesting to say (and even
sometimes when I don't).
