It's been a while since I posted anything but I'm back at it again. I had to make a trip to the Vet with Katy. Here's a picture of Katy and Eldon, the fabulous Vet Tech at Alvarado Animal Clinic. Katy started choking on her food and was acting like she couldn't breathe so I loaded her in the trailer and hauled her to the Vet. They put a tube down her throat to see if there was a blockage and found nothing so came to the conclusion that she was just eating her grain too fast and choked on it. While we were there, I had the Vet float her teeth (file off the sharp points) thinking that the uneven teeth were contributing to the choaking. She's hanging her head because they always sedate horses when they float their teeth. I would have to be sedated too if they put a drill with a grinding bit in my mouth and started grinding my teeth. We got a clean bill of health and were sent on our way minus a couple hundred dollars. Oh well, it's only money and I don't want to lose my horse or any sleep worrying about her. |

Our blog (a web log or sort of online diary) is maintained by chief stall mucker, poop picker-upper and all around slave to the animals,
Norma Epstein.
I write it all myself (no Pulitzer or accolades necessary) and I take all the pictures with a Minolta digital camera.
I take pictures and post to the blog whenever I find something interesting or have something interesting to say (and even sometimes when I don't).
