April 14, 2005Another Spring time sight. Texans love Purple Martin wild birds. Everyone puts up a "Martin House" on their property. Obviously, they like communal living. In February, a 'scout' arrives to check out the availability of housing. This year, the Martins were very late but they are finally here and building their nests. We have an assortment of Martins and sparrows which have set up housekeeping in our bird house. The best time is when the chicks have gotten to the stage that they are getting their flying lessons. The sky is filled with birds swooping, flying and singing. A great sight. |

April 15 is upon us. Our very, very, very, very, very least favorite day of the year! |
| Blog Entries |
Our blog (a web log or sort of online diary) is maintained by chief stall mucker, poop picker-upper and all around slave to the animals,
Norma Epstein.
I write it all myself (no Pulitzer or accolades necessary) and I take all the pictures with a Minolta digital camera.
I try to take pictures daily and update the site by 5:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time, but it usually gets done sometime later.
