April 14, 2008Here I am with my baby - well, she's not quite a baby; she'll be 2 years old May 1. Her official name is Katy's King Blondie and we call her Blondie. She's a registereed Quarter Horse and she's from my mare, Quick Katy Bar D Dor and a Buckskin sire, Stars Rollickin Fire from Oklahoma. We were hoping for a Buckskin but I don't think we could have gotten a prettier horse than Blondie. She's a very sweet mare with a calm disposition and loves people. When she was a day old, she was bucking around the pasture and making sliding stops on her own. She's been hugged, kissed and touched every day of her life and was imprinted the minute she stood on her own. Sounds like I'm making a sales pitch, doesn't it? I'm not - but someday the right person will come along who will do very well with her in the show ring. It's almost time to send her to the trainer to get her under saddle and I'm looking forward to it. |

Our blog (a web log or sort of online diary) is maintained by chief stall mucker, poop picker-upper and all around slave to the animals,
Norma Epstein.
I write it all myself (no Pulitzer or accolades necessary) and I take all the pictures with a Minolta digital camera.
I take pictures and post to the blog whenever I find something interesting or have something interesting to say (and even sometimes when I don't).
