Ice storm one day, freezing fog the next and now, 3 days later it's 73°outside! That's Texas for you. The horses are still wearing their winter fur coats so they're a little hot and lethargic. The trees don't know what to do - to bud or not to bud. The daffodills have yellow buds on them and some in the area have already bloomed - poised to be zapped by the next frost. We've closed the back pasture to the horses to give the oats we planted in September a chance to grow for baleing in 2 months. Oats are perfect for this part of the country because the horses eat it most of the winter and then we can bale it in the Spring and have hay for the rest of the year. Go Steelers! |

Our blog (a web log or sort of online diary) is maintained by chief stall mucker, poop picker-upper and all around slave to the animals,
Norma Epstein.
I write it all myself (no Pulitzer or accolades necessary) and I take all the pictures with a Minolta digital camera.
I take pictures and post to the blog whenever I find something interesting or have something interesting to say (and even sometimes when I don't).
