February 10, 2005Leo is feeling very playful today and you can see how much better his face looks. The border around the wound is new skin and even though he rolls in the hay and gets debris in the wound, the antibiotic cream is keeping infection at bay. His eye is also improving and is starting to look a little more normal. The closing of the wound on his cheek is causing his lower eye lid to pull down but it is doing much better than before. Click back through the blogs at the bottom of the page to see a really amazing transformation of this poor little colt.
If you want to see a miracle (now vs. then), click here to see pictures of the accident. |

Scratch my butt, Dad.. Leo loves to have his butt scratched. Now that I think about it, I would too...
Look ma - no cows. All our longhorns are gone. Arnie sold all of them to a large ranch in Midlothian, Texas. I miss them but I don't miss the black and blue marks from the horns. When it's feeding time, they all mill around and wave their horns around to keep the other cows away from the food. If you happen to be standing in the wrong place, you'll get a nice bruise. |

Our blog (a web log or sort of online diary) is maintained by chief stall mucker, poop picker-upper and all around slave to the animals,
Norma Epstein.
I write it all myself (no Pulitzer or accolades necessary) and I take all the pictures with a Minolta digital camera.
I try to take pictures daily and update the site by 5:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time, but it usually gets done sometime later.
