January 15, 2007Wow, I hadn't realized it's been so long since I've added anything to the blog. There just hasn't been anything that I would consider interesting happening lately. We took Mystyk (Arabian horse) to the vet on Friday with a nasty case of pigeon fever (where large cysts form in their chest - formerly an unknown disease in Texas). Leo was the first to get it and, at that time, the local vets didn't know what it was. Since then, cases have popped up everywhere and now there's no getting away from it We had an ice storm early this morning and, at noon, it's still below freezing. It isn't bothering the horses, they just chase each other around in the round pen and roll in the sand.

Our blog (a web log or sort of online diary) is maintained by chief stall mucker, poop picker-upper and all around slave to the animals,
Norma Epstein.
I write it all myself (no Pulitzer or accolades necessary) and I take all the pictures with a Minolta digital camera.
I take pictures and post to the blog whenever I find something interesting or have something interesting to say (and even sometimes when I don't).
