We watched Amy Andresen, our trainer work with Blondie today at the training barn. Here she is teaching Blondie to get next to the gate so she can open it. Blondie was perfect - she siddled up to the gate and stood calmly by while Amy opened it. Many horses are spooked by gates and won't stand still while you try to open them on horseback. |

Blondie has graduated to working in an open field. She now also works with a rope side-pull lead (no bit). Amy has been taking her on trail rides and tells us that Blondie doesn't seem to be bothered and doesn't spook when something unexpected pops up. Blondie is going to be a wonderful horse for someone who wants a good show horse. She's beautiful, has nice conformation (she's well-built), she's very smart and athletic. She also has a great disposition. I've handled her every day since the minute she was born and that makes a big difference in a horses personality. Also, she's always been treated with love - not once has she been struck with anything or mistreated. |

Our blog (a web log or sort of online diary) is maintained by chief stall mucker, poop picker-upper and all around slave to the animals,
Norma Epstein.
I write it all myself (no Pulitzer or accolades necessary) and I take all the pictures with a Minolta digital camera.
I take pictures and post to the blog whenever I find something interesting or have something interesting to say (and even sometimes when I don't).
