March 18, 2007A new puppy! We needed to beef up our security detail so we have added a Great Pyrenees. Arnie decided he wanted a Great Pyrenees puppy so here we are at the River Bottom Ranch with Caryl McAdoo, Grand Matriarch of the River Bottom Ranch and breeder. We had a great time meeting her and her husband, Ron. Arnie picked out the biggest and best (of course). His name is Dallas and just too cute as all puppies are. Arnie says God made all babies cute so you will be sure to fall in love with them. Arnie decided on a Great Pyrenees because they are excellent protectors. People who keep goats or sheep almost always have these dogs to watch over the herds. They're very gentle dogs but will kill a coyote if it threatens their domain. |

Coming home to meet the family. Lucy and Dufus Dog aren't too sure about this new creature here in the picture but everyone is getting along very well. There's always an adjustment period. We all went for a walk in the pasture and Dallas stayed right by my feet the whole time. |

Sara goes to the trainer. She's three years old and time to get under saddle so here we are in Venus, Texas (I'm still looking for Mars) at the Rocking B Training Facility owned by Overton "Cowboy" Brooks. Cowboy (putting a halter on Sara) believes in gentle training and has been recommended by several of Arnie's saddle customers. |

Sara is not happy about being penned up. Oh well, life's a bitch. |

Our blog (a web log or sort of online diary) is maintained by chief stall mucker, poop picker-upper and all around slave to the animals,
Norma Epstein.
I write it all myself (no Pulitzer or accolades necessary) and I take all the pictures with a Minolta digital camera.
I take pictures and post to the blog whenever I find something interesting or have something interesting to say (and even sometimes when I don't).
