May 20, 2005Leo's first training session. The good news is that he's very smart. The bad news is that he is very spoiled. Here he is looking at me rather than paying attention to the trainer. I've been banned from the training sessions until Leo learns to focus on his lessons instead of me. boo hoo... |

Here Frank is getting to know Leo. We found our trianer, Frank Silva, at the home of one of Arnie's leather customer. She needed her bridle cut to fit her horse and, rather than load the horse and bring it to us, Arnie went to her house to fit the horse. Arnie met her young thoroughbred and was impressed with how gentle and quiet he was and inquired about his trainer. |

I've spent so much time de-sensitizing Leo that nothing bothers him. Frank had to lasso his butt and pull him forward to get him to move for the first part of the session. Here he's pulling on his tail to loosen his back. |

Our blog (a web log or sort of online diary) is maintained by chief stall mucker, poop picker-upper and all around slave to the animals,
Norma Epstein.
I write it all myself (no Pulitzer or accolades necessary) and I take all the pictures with a Minolta digital camera.
I try to take pictures daily and update the site by 5:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time, but it usually gets done sometime later.
