Circle E Ranch Blog Page

deep in the heart of the great state of Texas

These two hens have decided that this is the only place in the whole barn they can lay their eggs so the bottom hen got there first and the other hen is sitting on top of her and they both layed eggs. Sometimes when I see what the chickens do to each other, I'm reminded of high school. The chickens AND high school students bully each other, beat each other up, pull each others' feathers (hair for the humans), form cliques and won't let others in and ostracize the new guy.

Our blog (a web log or sort of online diary) is maintained by chief stall mucker, poop picker-upper and all around slave to the animals,
Norma Epstein. I write it all myself (no Pulitzer or accolades necessary) and I take all the pictures with a Minolta digital camera.
I try to take pictures daily and update the site by 5:00 pm Central Daylight Time, but it usually gets done sometime later.
