September 9, 2008Wildflowers are popping out all over. Hurricane Ike is predicted to bring some rain so it's a cloudy day but the yellow wildflowers are still beautiful. I took this picture near Ennis, Texas (27 miles south of Dallas). Everything is nice and green around Circle E and Arnie is planting oats for Winter grazing and baling in the Spring. With the cost of oil, it costs a fortune to buy hay and feed horses so we do much better growing our own hay. We bale when the oats are still on the stem so the horses love the hay and stay nice and fat (fat is Arnie's favorite color on a horse) |

Our blog (a web log or sort of online diary) is maintained by chief stall mucker, poop picker-upper and all around slave to the animals,
Norma Epstein.
I write it all myself (no Pulitzer or accolades necessary) and I take all the pictures with a Minolta digital camera.
I take pictures and post to the blog whenever I find something interesting or have something interesting to say (and even sometimes when I don't).
